“Silent Front”: Thirteen women. Thirteen stories. One unstoppable force.
Last week, the presentation of the remarkable book, “Silent Front,” was held. This is a collection of documentary stories dedicated to the strength, dignity, and courage of women. Both the title and the content of the book speak for themselves: “Thirteen Women. Thirteen Stories. One Unbreakable Force.”
This book was created in collaboration with Modern Women for Empowerment and the Georgian Academy of Writers, Artists and Public Figures “Gulani”. It is also unique in that it has been translated into two languages simultaneously – English and German, in addition to Georgian.
The fate, heroism and silent struggle of thirteen different women have come to life on the pages of “Silent Front”. Although they are not connected by professions or emotional stories, they have one thing in common that unites their paths: they are all from Abkhazia. Each of them carries a special pain, which is the result of war, loss, forced displacement, injustice and heartache. However, one more thing unites them – all of them refused to accept their fate and started their own “Silent Front”.
It is noteworthy that this book also includes the story of Miledi Chkhvimiani, Tinatin, the mother of Father Andria, the founder and head of the Father Andria Charity Foundation.
This book is proof that a woman’s spiritual strength cannot be broken.
